Multiple OS in VPS Servers
In case you choose one of our VPS server packages, you'll have as many as 3 different Operating Systems to pick from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They are all Linux distributions and we offer them instead of offering just one OS, because the apps that you might choose to run on the server may have specific requirements regarding the software environment. Each of the three has certain pros regarding the available packages that you may later install, but what is common between them is the fact that they're really stable and reliable and have vast communities which support them. The internet hosting Control Panel alternatives for the VPS accounts depend on your Operating System choice, so as to provide you with more flexibility. In case you order the virtual server with one OS and you need a different one later, our tech support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a matter of minutes. We also offer the option to keep the Operating System on your server up-to-date weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're completely free and they will not increase the cost of your new server, but also because they are very stable and secure. Each of them is supported by a large community of web developers, so you will be able to choose from thousands of software packages that you could install on your server if the application that you intend to employ has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what web hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer run on particular OSs only and since we would like to provide you with as much versatility as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you choose a server with a given OS, we will change it upon request in the event that it turns out that you'll need a different one. We can also keep your OS updated weekly as part of the useful Managed Services upgrade.
